Stunning. Just the right amount of detail, a real sense of place. The fellows in the front look pretty young, was that deliberate? Also, what does the 'e' over the 'Y' mean?

Symbol means THE, it was commonly used in 18th century press for titles.

Yess character in the foreground are young Richard the Corporal is 20 and Colm is 19. Common age of the British solider in the revolution was 16 to 25.
